Box ScoreBIDDEFORD, Maine -- Roger Williams University capped a perfect Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular-season with a 3-0 victory over the University of New England in women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon (Oct. 31) at the Harold Alfond Forum. Set scores were 25-18, 25-19, and 25-17.
The Hawks (17-11, 8-0 CCC) will enter the CCC Championship as the top seed with a first-round bye. The Nor'easters (6-16) finish at 3-5 in league play and will head for third-seeded Endicott College in Tuesday's (7 p.m.) opening round. Click

After a back-and-forth beginning to the opening set that saw neither team lead by more than four points, RWU closed the frame on a 5-0 run to win by seven.
The visitors would go on to win the next two sets as well, led by Sarah McAniff and Molly Quilty with a combined 19 kills -- two of the nine Hawks with multiple kills. McAniff also had seven digs, while Quilty logged a .600 attack percentage. Josalyn Benson chipped in with 38 assists and eight digs; Darian Tredennick had a team-high nine digs.
