Box ScorePROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The University of Southern Maine defeated the University of New England, 3-0, in a women's volleyball matchup Saturday afternoon (Oct. 3) in the Wildcat Classic hosted by Johnson and Wales University. Set scores were 16-25, 16-25, and 19-25.
The Huskies (8-10) were paced by Jess Williamson, who recorded a match-high 19 kills, and also finished with a .459 attack percentage to go along with three aces. Nicole Schmitz and Megan Nilson combined to chip in 29 assists in the victory.
For the Nor'easters (3-9),
Courtney Lambrese continued her strong play and lead the squad with 10 kills, helping her earn a spot on the All-Tournament team.
Kristen Falcinelli dished out a match-high 17 assists to contribute to the attack.
UNE will look to bounce back when they return home on Wednesday (Oct. 7) to host Eastern Nazarene College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) date.
