Hazard Field, the University of New England women's soccer team scored a goal in each half to take a 2-0 victory over Eastern Nazarene College in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match Saturday afternoon (Oct. 24).
With the win, the Nor'easters improve to 11-5-0 (6-2 CCC) on the season and clinch no lower than third in the conference regular-season standings. Eastern Nazarene now stands at 5-7-3 overall, 2-4-2 in conference action.
UNE broke through in the 33rd minute with what would prove to be enough scoring for victory.

The Nor'easters doubled their advantage in the 71st minute when
Hanna Sihler scored on a scramble in front of the ENC goal.
Anna Michaud started the scoring chance with a blast from straight-away that Lion goalkeeper Kristen Farley made a spectacular stop of.
Jackie Dickerson got a piece of the rebound, and Sihler cleaned up for her first collegiate score.
Eastern Nazarene had its best opportunity to get into the scoring column in the first half when a shot by Lauren Hevy hit the post, and a follow-up by Katherine Lawrence was denied by a UNE defender.
Brielle Robinson came up with four saves to register the shutout for UNE, which outshot the Lions, 23-7. Farley had a strong afternoon in goal for Eastern Nazarene, totaling nine stops.
The Nor'easters will wrap up their regular season Wednesday when they host first-place Roger Williams University at 4 p.m. The Lions host Wentworth Institute of Technology that same day in an 8 p.m. night game.
