STANDISH, Maine -- Felicia Wachowiak accounted for 16 of her team's 34 kills as Saint Joseph's College of Maine picked a 3-0 women's volleyball decision against the University of New England on Thursday (Oct. 15) at the Harold Alfond Center. The Monks narrowly claimed the opening set (28-26) before rolling in the next two (25-9, 25-17).

SJC moves to 20-3 on the year, while UNE slips back to 6-11.

Wachowiak also put down three solo blocks for the Monks, and Mariah Hebert tossed up 28 assists to go with three aces. Defensively, Jennelle Thompson notched 17 digs.

For Big Blue, Grayson Szczepaniak had a team-high six kills and a pair of solo blocks, and Brooke Gibbons tallied 12 assists. Libero Brittany Morrison regsitered 12 digs.
