Jon Nessa and Wil Siefert accounted for nine goals to fuel the Hawks' attack, while Mike Hanna contributed a pair of goals. Alan Williams was immense for Roger Williams, winning 25 of 28 face-offs and coming up with 23 ground balls.
For UNE,
Nick Gross tallied a team-best three goals to lead the way.
Patrick Wolfe added a pair of markers.
Leading 3-2 after one quarter, Roger Williams pulled away with six goals in the second, as Hanna, Nessa and Siefert each scored twice.
Wolfe would open the scoring in the second half to get UNE within four (9-5), but the Hawks would hold a margin of at least four goals the remainder of the match.
Buoyed by Williams' 23 ground ball pickups, Roger Williams topped the Nor'easters 49-20 in that category. Luke Aubrey totaled 17 stops to record the win in goal for the Hawks (10-2, 4-1 CCC), who have won four straight.
Joe Medel had 17 saves for Big Blue, which received team highs of five ground balls from
Nick George and two caused turnovers from
Pat Reid.
The Nor'easters (3-9, 0-3) will look to end a six-game losing streak Wednesday (April 9) when they host Gordon College at 7 p.m.
