Nor'easters cruise by Bridgewater State in 3 sets

NEW LONDON, N.H. -- Senior Angie Brunette had a match-high 14 kills and two solo blocks to power the University of England to a straight-set victory (26-24, 25-18, 25-22) over Bridgewater State University as part of a non-confernce tri-match Saturday afternoon (Sep. 7) at Coffin Field House on the campus of Colby-Sawyer College.

Senior Maria Kuehl had 28 assists and 18 digs for the Nor'easters (2-0), who played host Colby-Sawyer later in the day. Junior Leah Janelle chipped in 10 kills and a pair of solo blocks, while first-year Grayson Szczepaniak played a strong all-around match with eight kills, three service aces and two total blocks. Defensively, senior libero Kirsta Adie recorded a team-high 22 digs and successfully returned all 15 serves that came her way.

For Bridgewater State, Danielle Dean had a team-best seven kills, while Kristen Robillard tied Adie for match-high honors with 22 digs.
