PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- After dropping the first set of the match, Amherst College took the next three frames to defeat the University of New England women's volleyball team, 3-1, at the Wildcat Classic hosted by Johnson & Wales University on Friday (Sep. 13). Set scores were 18-25, 25-13, 26-24, and 25-10.
The Nor'easters (2-3) meet Mount Ida College later this evening, before playing another two matches on Saturday.

Angie Brunette led the way for Big Blue, tallying 10 kills to go with six blocks. Junior
Rachel McGahie and first-year
Grayson Szczepaniak each added seven kills, while the rookie also had three solo blocks.

Maria Kuehl combined for 58 digs (35 and 23, respectively), and Kuehl totaled 25 assists.
