Box Score

WATERVILLE, Maine -- The University of Maine Farmington men's basketball team scored 15 unanswered points inside the final six minutes to rebound from an eight-point deficit on its way to a 60-58 victory over the University of New England on the second day of the Charlie Ryan Classic Saturday (Nov. 17) at Thomas College's Mahaney Gymnasium.

UMF (2-0) trailed 53-45 with about five and a half minutes left before Garrett Clemmer drained back-to-back treys to spark the rally.

The Nor'easters (0-2) did manage to score the last five points of the contest in the closing seconds, but could not get any closer as time ran out.

Clemmer tallied team-highs of 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Beavers, while Ben Johnson added 16 points and nine boards. Andrew Dickey had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Yusuf Iman totaled nine points and six assists.

UNE -- which led 25-24 at the half -- was paced by first-year Devin Thompson, who canned 6-of-13 shots from deep to end with a game-best 22 points. Junior Charles Fenner III (Bronx, N.Y.) chipped in with 12 points, and sophomore Jordan Ferreira (Nantucket, Mass.) put in 10 points off the Big Blue bench.
