QUINCY, Mass. -- Sophomore Jules Speno (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) scored just before halftime for the game's lone goal, as fourth-seeded Eastern Nazarene College edged fifth-seeded University of New England, 1-0, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship quarterfinal-round match played Saturday (Oct. 27) at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Lions (9-7-3) advance to play top-seeded Gordon College, a 3-1 winner over Western New England University Saturday. The Nor'easters end their season at 7-11-1.

Speno tallied her team-leading 10th goal at 43:43, drilling home a free kick from just outside the box.

ENC keeper Kristen Farley (Westminster, Mass.) made the marker stand up with a key save in the early stages of the second half to keep UNE off the scoreboard.

For the match, both teams managed 11 shots. Farley finished with five saves for her fifth shutout , while junior Samantha Guyette (Newport, Vt.) stopped three shots for the Nor'easters.
