For UNE, senior Marcus Winn (Austin, Texas) hit 5-of-11 tries from downtown to register a season-high 17 points -- 11 of which came in the first half. Winn was later honored as an all-tournament selection. Junior Charles Fenner III (Bronx, N.Y.) -- seeing action in his second game after starting the year with an injury -- tallied 12 points. Junior Alex Alsadi (Scottsdale, Ariz.) canned all three of his attempts from deep to end with nine points. The Nor'easters made 11 of 33 shots from beyond the three-point arc.

Hunter led from the start, and was up 21-11 as the midway mark of the opening frame approached. Big Blue sent in nine of the next 11 over a 2:25 stretch to close the margin to three (23-20) with 11 minutes to go in the period. Fenner had five of his seven first-half points in the run.

The difference was still three (32-29) late in the stanza, but the final six points went to the Hawks for a 38-29 cushion at the break.

A Fenner trey made it a seven-point game (42-35) in the early moments of the second half, before Hunter went off for a 17-4 spurt in 4:44 to gain a 59-39 lead with 13 minutes remaining in the game.

The Nor'easters return home for a date with Bates College on Tuesday (7 p.m.).
