BANGOR, Maine -- Senior Katie Caron (Winslow, Maine) sent in an unassisted tally in the 84th minute to give the University of New England a 1-0 win over weekend host Husson University in women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at Boucher Field.

UNE won both of its contests during the Husson Classic, and stand at 2-0 on the season. The Eagles drop to 1-2 with the setback.

The Nor'easters out-shot their opponents 21-2 in the match. For Husson, goalkeeper Jessica Poulin made six stops.

Senior goalie Jess Woodworth (Concord, N.H.) did not have to make a save for Big Blue, which is off until next Saturday (Sep. 10) when Curry College comes to town for UNE's home and conference opener.
