BANGOR, Maine -- Husson University netted all three of its goals in the first half on the way to a 3-0 win over the University of New England Saturday in men's soccer action at Boucher Field.

Greg Dawson recorded the first two scores for the Eagles (1-1) -- the first coming off a feed from Chris DelGuidice at the 12:03 mark, and the second on a free kick from just outside the box nearly 15 mintes later.

Abdiel Reid collected a pass from Philip Frost and pushed the margin to three with 33:06 on the clock.

Neither team found the back of the net in the second half, and Husson finished with a 17-15 edge in shot attempts for the game.

The Eagles' Mason Smith and UNE's senior goalie Jon Planer (Yarmouth, Maine) each posted eight saves in the outing.

The Husson Classic continues Sunday as the hosts take on Emmanuel College, while the Nor'easters (0-2) meet Maine Maritime Academy at 2:30 p.m.
