SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Roger Williams University knocked off the University of New England, 3-0, in women's volleyball action Friday night at Dana Gymnasium, as part of the Springfield College Invitational. The set scores were 25-17, 25-17, and 25-22.

Sophomore Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) led the attack with seven kills, and combined with classmate Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.), who had 13 assists, to put down four blocks. Senior Abby Davis (Somersworth, N.H.) notched a team-high 12 digs for the match, while junior Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) was credited with four kills, eight digs, and two aces.

The Nor'easters return to action Saturday morning for their third of four contests this weekend at Springfield. UNE is slated to face the host Pride at 10 a.m. in Blake Arena.
