Nor'easters storm back to get five set-win over Rivier

First-year Leah Janelle put down 13 kills to help pace Big Blue

BRISTOL, R.I. -- Trailing after the first two sets, the University of New England women's volleyball team came roaring back to take the next three and top Rivier College, 3-2, at the Roger Williams University Invitational on Saturday. The set scores were 22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 26-24, and 15-9 in the deciding frame.

First-year Leah Janelle (Madbury, N.H.) led the attack with 13 kills and a pair of service aces. Junior Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) had nine kills, four aces, and four blocks in support. Sophomore Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) finished with seven kills and eight blocks for UNE (1-5).

Senior Abby Davis, (Somersworth, N.H.) along with sophomores Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) and Kirsta Adie (Tyngsboro, Mass.), combined for 56 digs in the match. Kuehl's stat-line also included 30 assists.
