FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Senior Amber Zablowsky (Rochester, Mass.) struck out five and walked none as the University of New England defeated Delaware Valley College, 4-0, in softball action Tuesday from the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic.

Already leading 1-0 in the third inning, junior Ashley Gott (Winterport, Maine) hit a two-out double with the bases loaded to give the Nor'easters (2-4) a pair of insurance runs.

Zablowsky, who allowed five hits spread out over five different innings, evened her record at 1-1 on the season.

First-year Allison Frazier (Tewksbury, Mass.) went 2-for-3 on the afternoon with a double and accounted for half of the UNE runs scored.

The Aggies (2-2) got a 3-for-3 effort from junior Erin Fox (Lewes, Del.), while classmate Maggie Kichler (Pittsburgh, Pa.) took the loss in the circle, surrendering six hits over six innings of work.

Big Blue is off Wednesday before resuming its Florida schedule with dates against Albright College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) on Thursday.
