MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- First-year Nik Tasiopoulos (Norwell, Mass.) netted three goals and added three assists to help lead Wesleyan University (Conn.) to a 14-1 win over the University of New England Saturday afternoon, as the men's hockey regular season came to a close at Spurrier-Snyder Rink.
Both squads will enter their respective post-season tournament next Saturday (February 26) as the No. 8 seed, with the Cardinals visiting NESCAC top-seed Hamilton College and the Nor'easters traveling to ECAC East number one Norwich University.
Wesleyan junior Geoff Mucha (West Chester, Pa.) notched a pair of scores to go with three assists for the hosts (9-11-3, 8-10-1 NESCAC), while sophomore Adam Kaiser (Stony Point, N.Y.) chipped in with two goals and senior Dan Sullivan (Worcester, Mass.) was credited with four assists.
