BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England scored three unanswered goals after halftime to pull away from Eastern Nazarene College for a 4-1 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's soccer victory Tuesday afternoon at Barbara J. Hazard Field.
The win clinches the top seed in the upcoming CCC Championship for the Nor'easters (12-2-2, 8-0-1 CCC), who will host Western New England University in a quarterfinal round match Saturday at noon. UNE will be the No. 1 in the postseason tournament for the first time since the 2000 season.

Jess Woodworth (Concord, N.H.) had a pair of saves and also recorded an assist after a booming punt set-up Caron's first goal.
Eastern Nazarene (9-7-2, 3-5-1) received six stops from first-year Rachel Henry (Lowell, Mass.). The Lions are seeded sixth for the upcoming conference tournament and will travel to No. 3 Salve Regina University on Saturday.
In the only regular-season meeting between UNE and Western New England, the Nor'easters came away with a 3-1 victory October 8 in Biddeford.
