WATERVILLE, Maine -- Senior Billy Crinnion (Long Island, N.Y.) had one goal and four assists to lead the Colby College Mules to an 11-1 win over the University of New England in an ECAC East/NESCAC crossover game played Friday evening at Alfond Rink.
Junior Tom McGinn (St. Albans, Vt.) scored two goals for the Mules (3-8-1, 2-5-1 NESCAC), who received goals from 10 different players as they snapped a four-game losing skid.
Leading 2-0 after one period, Colby scored four times in the second and five more goals in the final frame.
Senior Karl Burns (Mequon, Wisc.), junior Mike Doherty (Lynnfield, Mass.) and first-year Jack Bartlett (Lynn, Mass.) contributed four points apiece in the victory.
First-year Sean Sullivan (Worcester, Maine) prevented a shutout for the Nor'easters, notching a goal in the second period to push his team-leading point total to 12. Sophomore Russ Franey (York, Maine) assisted on the play.
Colby senior goaltender Cody McKinney (Weston, Fla.) recorded 22 saves for the win.
Senior Mike Roper (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia) had 30 saves in two periods for UNE and first-year Cody Violette (Greene, Maine) added 15 in the third.
The Nor'easters (2-10, 0-8 ECAC) skate at Bowdoin College -- the nation's fourth-ranked team -- tomorrow at 4 p.m.
