Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) wrapped up an impressive showing at the 2010 USM Invitational by recording a match-high 12 kills and five total blocks as the University of New England rolled past Salem State University, 25-8, 25-19, 25-17, Saturday afternoon at Warren G. Hill Gymnasium on the campus of the University of Southern Maine.
Curran, who totaled 31 kills and 13 total blocks in UNE's three wins, registered her 12 kills on just 17 attempts (.706 percentage) versus Salem State. She also served up a pair of aces.
First-year setter
Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) dished out 11 assists, while classmate
Nicole Kalinowski (Tucson, Ariz.) had nine. Fellow first-year
Kirsta Adie (Tyngsboro, Mass.) paced the defense with a match-high 15 digs.
The Nor'easters are idle until next Saturday (Sep. 11) when they travel to Bristol, R.I. to participate in the Roger Williams University Invitational.
