Morgan Jensen (New Hartford, Conn.) and
Amanda Vaudreuil (Windham, N.H.) scored two goals apiece to lead the University of New England to an 8-0 shutout of Thomas College in non-conference women's soccer action played in a steady rain Thursday evening at Barbara J. Hazard Field.
The Nor'easters failed to get their offense in gear until the 21st minute when sophomore
Nicole Faircloth (Wesfield, Mass.) scored off a set piece from 35 yards out to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage.
UNE would score three more times in a span of 2:43 to push the lead to 4-0 before halftime. Jensen went back-to-back in the 35th and 36th minutes, then Vaudreuil delivered her first collegiate goal in the 38th minute.
The second half was much of the same as UNE received goals from junior

Sarah Richardson (Rochester, N.H.) and Vaudreuil to reach its highest goal output since Oct. 8 of last season.
The Nor'easters (4-1) dominated the stat sheet, taking a 38-1 advantage in shots and 11-0 cushion in corner kicks.

Jess Woodworth (Concord, N.H.) registered her second career shutout for the Nor'easters, who have won the last nine meetings between the two squads.
Sophomore Alyssa Vitalone (Bingham, Maine) and first-year Kate Thibodeau (Woolwich, Maine) split time in goal for the Terriers. Vitalone was credited with nine stops and Thibodeau came on to record eight.
UNE returns to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. road match at Regis College. Thomas (0-4) will seek its first win Sept. 21 when it takes on UMaine Augusta on the road (4 p.m.).
