SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- With home playoff match implications at stake, the University of New England volleyball team came up big with a 3-2 victory over host Western New England College in the day's final match of a The Commonwealth Coast Conference tri-match held at the WNEC Alumni Center.
By virtue of their victory, the Nor'easters (19-10, 6-4 TCCC) end the regular season tied with WNEC and Salve Regina University for the fourth spot in the TCCC standings but hold the tiebreaker over both institutions. UNE will host WNEC in a quarterfinal-round match when the TCCC Championship gets underway Tuesday. That match is

Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) paced the Nor'easters with 12 kills and just one attack error. First-year
Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) set-up the offense with 30 assists and was successful on all 12 of her service attempts. She also had 11 digs to register her ninth double-double.
