SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Senior Kristen Edwards (Laconia, N.H.) piled up a season-high 15 kills to pace the University of New England in a 3-0 sweep (25-16, 25-11, 25-19) of Eastern Nazarene College in match number two of a The Commonwealth Coast Conference tri-match hosted by Western New England College on Saturday.

The victory, which improved UNE's overall record to 18-10 and conference mark to 5-4, was Big Blue's seventh straight over the Lions (3-28, 1-9 TCCC).

Sophomore Lindsey Cashell (Merrimack, N.H.) contributed eight kills for the Nor'easters, who hit a robust .368 for the match. Sophomore Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) and first-year Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) added five kills apiece. First-year setter Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) was credited with a match-high 29 assists.

Defensively, first-year libero Kirsta Adie (Tyngsboro, Mass.) dug out 14 balls and was 12-for-12 on serves received. Junior Abby Davis (Somersworth, N.H.) had nine digs in two sets of court time.
