BOSTON -- Senior Kristen Edwards (Laconia, N.H.) and sophomore Paige Curran (Chelmsford, Mass.) registered eight kills apiece in the University of New England's 3-0 sweep of Gordon College in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference tri-match hosted by Wentworth Institute of Technology Saturday afternoon at Tansey Gymnasium.

UNE (13-9, 3-3 TCCC) took the match by set scores of 25-19, 25-12 and 25-18.

First-year setter Maria Kuehl (Middleton, N.H.) dished off 22 assists and came up with three service aces to aid in the victory. Rookie libero Kirsta Adie (Tyngsboro, Mass.) had a team-high 20 digs, while first-year Nicole Kalinowski (Tucson, Ariz.) added 10. Senior Meghan Flynn (Stoneham, Mass.) and first-year Angie Brunette (North Andover, Mass.) were each credited with a pair of blocks.

The loss drops Gordon to 5-19 overall, 2-4 in TCCC play. Earlier in the day, the Fighting Scots took a 3-0 victory over the host Leopards

The Nor'easters take on Wentworth at 3 p.m. to round out the day's play.
