BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Seniors Ben Nasman (Lenox, Mass.) and Jesse Paolella (East Greenwich, R.I.) broke open a scoreless game with goals 3:14 apart early in the second half to give Wentworth Institute of Technology all it needed for a 2-0 The Commonwealth Coast Conference men's soccer victory over the University of New England Wednesday afternoon at Barbara J. Hazard Field.

The win moves the Leopards, who have now taken 10 of the last 12 meetings between the teams, over the .500 mark to 7-6 on the season (5-4 TCCC). With their fifth consecutive loss, the Nor'easters sit at 3-7-3 overall, 1-6-2 in conference play.

Nasman found the back of the net at the 48:38 mark, taking a cross from the end line off the foot of senior David Lagarce (Lenox, Mass.) and putting the first touch into the lower left corner.

Junior Josh Deschene (Webster, Mass.) set-up the second tally in the 52nd minute, laying a pass down the left side which Paolella slipped inside the far right post.

Wentworth received six stops from senior Brian Pearsall (Sanford, Maine), who posted his fourth shutout of the season.
