COCOA BEACH, Fla. -- Pinch hitter
Ashley DePasquale (Uxbridge, Mass.) delivered a double in the top of the seventh to break a 1-all tie, as the University of New England edged Norwich University, 2-1, in college softball action. Earlier in the day, the Nor'easters defeated Penn State-Greater Allegheny, 13-8.

Megan Gaedje (Tolland, Conn.). Gaedje had come on to run after
Marie Mantelli (Thompson, Conn.) led off the inning with a single.
The Nor'easters were first to get on the scoreboard when
Samantha Kelly (Rochester, N.H.) had an RBI single in the first.
Sophomore
Amber Zablowsky (Rochester, Mass.) pitched a complete-game five-hitter. She struck out five and walked just one.
In the Nor'easters' first game of the day, UNE took advantage of 10 Penn State Allegheny walks to help plate 13 runs.

Maegen Johnson (Standish, Maine) and
Ashley Gott (Winterport, Maine) had two hits apiece to pace UNE's 10-hit attack.
Liz Kelly (Hollis, N.H.) poked a double and drove in three runs.
Katie Knowlen (Winslow, Maine) worked her way around 12 hits to record her first collegiate victory.
The Nor'easters (3-1) conclude their trip tomorrow (March 11) when they take on Carlow University and Daniel Webster College.
