Nor'easters blow by Anna Maria in volleyball

Paige Curran had a match-high 11 kills to lead the Nor'easters to an easy win over Anna Maria

WENHAM, Mass. -- The University of New England Nor'easters upped their record to 5-4 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a 25-7, 25-10, 25-14 victory over Anna Maria College in match two of a TCCC tri-match held at Gordon College.

First-year Paige Curran led the way for the Nor'easters with 11 kills and three service aces. Junior Meghan Flynn contributed eight kills, while first-year Jillian Goldstein recorded a career-best six kills.

Senior setter Ellen Choinski dished out 22 assists over the opening sets, and first-year Emily Winters came off the bench to add seven in the final set. Choinski racked up six service aces during her time on the floor.

The Nor'easters are slated to face the host Fighting Scots at 3 p.m.
