Nor'easters sweep Eastern Nazarene in TCCC match-up

Linsdey Cashell accounted for 12 points won with six kills and the same number of aces

BEVERLY, Mass. -- First-year Lindsey Cashell (Merrimack, N.H.) led the way for the University of New England with six kills and six service aces, as the Nor'easters took a 3-0 (25-17, 25-9, 25-19) win over Eastern Nazarene in The Commonwealth Coast Conference volleyball action at the Post Center on the campus of Endicott College.

Junior Kristen Edwards (Laconia, N.H.) paced the UNE attack with seven kills, while setter Ellen Choinski (Saunderstown, R.I.) handed out 16 assists to go with three aces. Senior Claire Varner (Breckenridge, Mich.) added five kills for the Nor'easters, who received a team-high 12 digs from junior Angie Gust (Manitowoc, Wisc.).

With the win, UNE improves to 5-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Crusaders slip to 2-14 (0-3 TCCC).
