WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- Amherst College improved to 13-3 with a 3-0 sweep (25-17, 26-24, 25-11) of the University of New England at the 29th Annual Crabtree Classic held at Geissler Gymnasium on the campus of Eastern Connecticut State University.

For the Nor'easters (7-10), senior setter Ellen Choinski was selected to the all-tournament team after picking up 18 assists versus Amherst (13-3).

Senior Claire Varner had eight kills and a team-best 10 digs for UNE. First-year Paige Curran and junior Meghan Flynn recorded three blocks apiece, while junior Angie Gust was successful on all 19 of her serve-receive attempts.
