WESTON, Mass. -- The Regis College Pride got 57 points for the trio of Jessica Page, Tashi Hamilton and Laura Sears on their way to a 77-63 The Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over the University of New England Thursday evening at the Regis Athletics Center.

The Pride (13-4, 4-2 TCCC) established control early, utilizing 16-2 run to take a 20-7 lead 12:47 into the contest.  Sears scored six points during the spurt, including a jump shot to cap the surge.

Regis led 38-29 at the break on the strength of 51.7 percent (15 of 29) shooting, compared to 31.3 (10 of 32) percent accuracy for the Nor'easters.

UNE would continue to chip away at the deficit in the second half and closed to within three (52-49) on a jumper by #Chelsey Meszaros# with 6:31 to play.


From there, the Pride ripped off nine unanswered points to take a 61-49 lead, but the Nor'easters would once again respond, slicing the Regis' cushion to four (63-59) with just over two minutes to play.  Sears hit a jumper and Regis made 12 of 13 free throw attempts over the final 1:57 to seal the victory.

Page scored 21 points to lead the way for the winners.  Hamilton contributed 19 points and eight rebounds, while Sears finished with 17 points.

#Katie Diggins# was the lone UNE player in double figures.  She scored a season-high 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting.

The Nor'easters (9-9, 3-3) head to Springfield, Mass. on Saturday (Feb. 2) for a TCCC contest with Western New England College.  Game time is 1:00 p.m.
