BRISTOL, R.I. -- Amanda daCunha scored 39 seconds into the second overtime period to give second-seeded Roger Williams University a 3-2 sudden-victory win over third-seeded University of New England in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference semifinal round women's soccer game played Thursday afternoon.

daCunha's second goal of the match came off a throw-in by Laurin Pendleton.  It was daCunha's second game-winning goal in overtime during the TCCC Tournament.

Trailing 2-0 early in the second half, the Nor'easters came roaring back to tie the match.  Katie Caron scored in the 63rd minute to get UNE within one, then Ali Trafton tallied with just under nine minutes remaining to force extra time.

The Hawks (17-2) had built a 2-0 lead on a first-half goal by daCunha and an early second-half goal by Pendleton, her 12th score of the season.

First team all-conference goalkeeper Jen Garside had six saves for Roger Williams, while Leigh Engel stopped four shots for UNE.

The Nor'easters (13-5) await word on a possible ECAC Tournament bid, with pairings scheduled to be released next Monday (Nov. 10).
