KEENE, N.H. -- First-year forward Sarah Richardson scored 5:08 into overtime to give fourth-seeded University of New England a 2-1 upset victory over top-seeded Keene State College in the semifinals of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship.

The victory gets the Nor'easters into the ECAC finals in their first-ever appearance in the tournament.  UNE will travel to second-seeded Brandeis University on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. start.  The Judges defeated Emmanuel College, 3-0, in Saturday's other semifinal.

Keene State took a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute when Michelle Boland tucked home a shot off a rebound.

The Nor'easters recovered to tie the match in the 31st minute when sophomore Kristin Meza converted a blast from the top of the box for her fifth goal of the season.

The Owls held a commanding 14-3 advantage in shots over the opening 45 minutes, but UNE goalkeeper Leigh Engel was up to the task, registering eight saves.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half, setting up extra time.

Richardson's second consecutive game-winning goal of the tournament (her 14th of the season) came off a feed from first-year Jessy Dvorak.

Engel finished with 11 saves for the Nor'easters, who improved to 15-5, their highest win output since the program's school-record 19 wins in 1994.  The Owls finish their season at 16-8.
