Box Score

BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Led by sophomore Brittany Phillips' (Sudbury, Mass.) 11 kills, 13 digs, and four aces, Endicott College clinched the top seed in the upcoming The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-21) win over the University of New England in women's volleyball action Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center.

The Gulls (21-14) completed the regular season in TCCC play with a perfect 10-0 record, and will face No. 8 Regis College in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday.

By virtue of a loss to Colby-Sawyer College earlier in the season, the Nor'easters (17-13 overall, 8-2 TCCC) lose the head-to-head tiebreaker in the standings and hold the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.  UNE will play host to No. 6 Western New England College on Tuesday in a 7:00 p.m. match.

Endicott received nine kills and five blocks from senior Hayley Janelle (Madbury, N.H.), and got seven blocks from Elyse Barbour (Greenville, R.I.).  Casey Ward (Monroe, Conn.) and Ally Murphy (Gilford, N.H.) garnered 17 and 14 assists, respectively.
