Nor'easters jump on Regis to shed winless streak

WESTON, Mass. -- First-year back Kiel Hiller scored two goals to lead the University of New England to a 6-0 shutout of Regis College in The Commonwealth Coast Conference men's soccer action Wednesday afternoon.

The win halted a three-game losing streak for the Nor'easters, who improve to 3-5-2 overall and 2-4-1 in conference play.  The Pride are now winless in 12 matches, 0-7 in TCCC games.

John-Michael Cascio, Ryan Tarr, Shirwac Hussain-Ali and Elia Del Molino each added a goal as the Nor'easters nearly doubled their goal output of the entire season.  The Nor'easters held an insurmountable 26-2 lead in shots and 9-0 margin in corner kicks.

Derek Poulin and Jon Planer split time in goal for the Nor'easters and combined for one save.

UNE returns to the pitch Saturday when it plays host to Wentworth Institute of Technology at 3:00 p.m.
