MILTON, Mass. -- The Curry College Colonels received an unassisted goal in each half on their way to a 2-0 shutout of the University of New England in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference men's soccer game played Saturday afternoon.
After the two teams played to a draw nearly the entire first half, senior back J.J. Hallissey notched an unassisted goal in the 39th minute, which proved the lone offense Curry would need all afternoon.
Matt Boyle tacked on an unassisted goal with just under 15 minutes to play to provide the hosts with a little extra cushion. Brian Newsome made three saves to register the shutout for Curry (8-2-2, 4-1-1 TCCC).
