BIDDEFORD, Maine -- Junior setter Ellen Choinski (Saunderstown, R.I.) had 21 assists, 11 digs and a pair of services aces to lead the University of New England Nor'easters to a 3-0 sweep of Babson College in a non-conference volleyball match Saturday at the Campus Center.

Junior Claire Varner (Breckenridge, Mich.) had six of her eight kills in set number one to lead the Nor'easters to a 25-21 decision.  UNE went on to win the second and third sets by the scores of 25-14 and 25-22.

Varner also finished with 10 digs and was 10-for-10 at the service line.  Sophomore Kristen Edwards (Laconia, N.H.) recorded a match-high 11 kills for the Nor'easters (13-12), while senior Alex Toregas (Chevy Chase, Md.) had 10 kills on just 18 total attacks.

First-year Meg Flaherty (Hollis, N.H.) led Babson (12-6) with seven kills.  Junior Caitlin O'Neill (Lynnfield, Mass.) contributed five kills and three total blocks, while classmate Shanna Glassner (Orland Park, Ill.) added 14 assists and eight digs.
