BIDDEFORD, Maine -- The University of New England Nor'easters and Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards played to a 0-0 tie in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference men's soccer game Saturday afternoon.

The match was fairly even throughout, with the Nor'easters holding a slight advantage (25-21) in total shots.  Each team had a few quality scoring opportunities but could not capatilize.

Wentworth starting goalkeeper Brian Pearsall (Sanford, Maine) registered two saves before leaving the contest with an injury early in the first half.  Joe Simon (Pittsfield, Mass.) came off the bench to make eight stops.

Derek Poulin (Scarborough, Maine) had nine saves to record his third shutout for the Nor'easters.

The Leopards (4-8-2, 3-4-1 TCCC) return to action Wednesday when they play a road contest at New England College.  Start time is 3:30 p.m.

UNE (3-5-3, 2-4-2) is idle Thursday when it is scheduled to play an away game at Anna Maria College (3:00 p.m.).
