Swimmer Lindsey Thomsen has been named the UNE Athlete of the Month for November 2014.
Thomsen, a sophomore from Gorham, Maine, helped the Nor'easters to a 3-1 record during November by winning a total of seven individual events over four meets. In Big Blue's victory over UMass Dartmouth on Nov. 1, Thomsen earned wins in the 50-yard breaststroke, 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke while also swimming a leg in the team's victorious 200-yard medley relay.
In a Nov. 8 home meet versus Simmons College, Thomsen established both team and pool records by clocking a time of 32.35 in the 50-yard breaststroke. Her time shaved nearly a half-second off each mark.
