Men’s lacrosse player Tyler Thomas has been chosen UNE Athlete of the Month for March.
Thomas, a first-year attackman from Pleasantville, N.Y., has registered an impressive 21 goals and 15 assists in the first eight games of the season for the Nor’easters. He had two five-goal performances in wins over Southern Maine (13-10) and Guilford (20-5), and in the victory over the Quakers, tallied a season-high seven points.
Named The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Rookie of the Week in three consecutive weeks to start the season, Thomas currently leads the league in points per contest (4.50) and has registered at least one goal and one assist in every game.
