Patty Williams was promoted to the position of Associate Director of Athletics for Club & Intramural Sports in the summer of 2023, following seven years as Assistant Director of Athletics (since 2016-17). She began her time at UNE is 2009-10 as the Coordinator of Intramural Sports, when there were six club sports and 10 intramural offerings. She now oversees the operations of 23 club sport teams and nearly the same number of intramural activities.

In 2020, Williams was added as the department's NCAA Senior Woman Administrator. She also schedules the athletics facilities on campus and is a Green Dot Facilitator at the University.

Prior to returning to her home state, Williams spent three years at Xavier University as the Assistant Director of Intramural and Club Sports. She has a bachelor's degree in recreation management and policy from the University of New Hampshire ('04) and a master's degree in recreation, tourism, and hospitality management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro ('06). While at UNCG, she served as a Graduate Assistant for Intramural and Club Sports within the Campus Recreation Department. 

Williams has been active in the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) since 2004 and is a former Maine Director.

The Saco native and resident, and her husband, Dan, have two children, Patrick and Parker.
