Emma Burke will join the UNE staff in 2025-26 as the Mental Performance Coach.
She came back to Biddeford last year as assistant coach of the Club Gymnastics team, while working as a clinician at Crossroads and Wayfinder Wellness & Psychotherapy, and serving as a local preschool teacher.
In May 2025, Burke completed a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling (with a specialization in athletics) at Springfield College. During that time, she worked with both Springfield and the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in the area of performance-based counseling.
She received a 2022 bachelor's degree from UNE in environmental studies and art therapy, and was a member of the club gymnastics squad.
