After starting the women's swimming program in the 2004-05 academic year, Roy has amassed a career record of 80-31 in dual and tri-meets over her 10 seasons.

In 2012-13, the Nor'easters posted their best finish ever (5th of 21) at the New England Championship.

In 2011-12, Roy's squad won a program-best 83 percent (10-2) of its meets.

Under Roy, UNE swimmers have had great success at the NEISDA Championships, achieving all-New England status 73 times -- including two victories in a particular event. In 2006, she was selected by her peers as NEISDA Women's Coach of the Year.

Prior to arriving at UNE, Roy coached USA Swimming club teams in Virginia and Massachusetts. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech University, where she attained a bachelor’s degree in English and communications. Roy received a master's degree in sport and recreation management with a concentration in coaching from New England College in 2010.

Roy is currently serving a four-year stint on the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Committee. Within the Big Blue community, she is also the Aquatics Coordinator, coach of the Club Men's Swimming team, and an adjunct faculty member.

A Lewiston, Maine native, Roy (formerly Mulholland) and her husband Paul reside in Saco.
