Playing Experience
Steel played in 64 games over four seasons (2010-13) for UNE, totaling 17 goals and eight assists. She made 55 starts either on defense or in the midfield, and racked up 149 ground balls, 103 caused turnovers, and 83 draw controls. As a junior she ranked fourth in Division III for caused turnovers (2.75/game), on the way to both CCC Co- and ECAC New England Defensive Player of the Year honors (first team selection for each). Steel also garnered second team all-region status from the IWLCA.
