Lingyak played four seasons (2010-13) as a defender for the Nor'easters, under current head coach Sue Estabrook. She graduated in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in animal behavior, and is currently working towards a master's degree.

Lingyak is also employed with the University as a Graduate Admissions Coordinator on the Portland Campus.
