Maeghan Fortier (LAT, ATC, LMT) returned to her alma mater for the 2013-14 academic year to serve UNE from the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.

The 2006 graduate of the University came back after four years as Athletic Trainer at Massebesic High School (Maine). Before that, Fortier was Athletic Trainer at Old Orchard Beach High School (Maine), and worked at a physical therapy practice in Boston.

She attained a master's degree in public health from UNE in 2017.

Fortier (formerly Weaver) and her husband, Eric, reside in Saco. She is also a licensed massage therapist, and in 2011, started her own practice locally.
