Coaching Experience
McGilvray was a four-year (2011-15) assistant at Johnson & Wales University (R.I.) [NCAA III] before coming to UNE. Prior to JWU, he was an assistant coach for the Laconia Leafs of the AJHL for three years.
Competitive Experience
McGilvray was inducted into the JWU Hall of Fame in 2014, recognizing the 137-point career representing the Wildcats from 2004-08. He totaled 72 goals and 65 assists over 102 games. In 2007-08, he was selected to the USCHO.com All-America Team and voted as the ECAC Northeast Player of the Year. He was picked as a first team performer in the league three times, and was named as conference Rookie of the Year at the start of his career.
Education
McGilvray graduated from Johnson & Wales in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in sports management.
