Competitive Experience

Libby played three seasons (1994-97) and 95 games as a defenseman at the University of Maine [NCAA I]. The Black Bears were national runners-up in 1994-95, and his best statistical campaign came in 1996-97, totaling six goals and 25 assists over 34 games. Libby then played one year professionally (1997-98), which included eight games with the Kentucky Thoroughblades of the American Hockey League (AHL) and one game with the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. The next year, his career came to an unexpected end just five contests into a second season in the AHL, with the Lowell Lock Monsters.
