A familiar face to those in the local community, Gagnon is set to begin his first season as UNE's Assistant Ice Hockey Coach after leading the Biddeford High School program the last four seasons.

During his four-year tenure at the head of the Tigers' bench, Gagnon guided Biddeford to a 67-21-1 overall record and consecutive Class A State Championships (2007, 2008), including a perfect 24-0 record in 2007-08.  He was selected Maine Coach of the Year twice, and was also chosen to coach in the 2008 Class A All-Star Game.  Gagnon served on the Maine Coaches Association Executive Board.

A Biddeford resident, Coach Gagnon is employed at Hannaford Brothers as a Senior Business Analyst for Strategy and Insight.  He is a graduate of Colby College.
