At UNE: has competed in 18 meets over his previous three seasons.

Prior to UNE: while at Nashua South High School, he was a two-year letter winner in both cross country, as well as track and field... earned the Coach's Award for the 2009 season.

Personal: the son of Susan and Ted Carey... majoring in marine biology with a minor in mathematics... has volunteered at Fitness University and UNE's Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center.
