Biography
2009: competed in five events... posted a season-best time of 29:25 at the James Earley Invitational... broke 30 minutes at the TCCC Championship (29:27)... was the subject of a story in the Portland Press Herald.
2008: ran in all nine events for UNE, including the NCAA Regional and ECAC Championship... finished in the top quarter of the field at four races... his time of 28:48 at the Pop Crowell Invitational was a season-low... crossed the finish line as the second UNE runner (22nd place) at the TCCC Championship to help the Nor'easters take 3rd out of eight teams... honored once as TCCC Rookie of the Week.
Prior to UNE: was an all-conference selection while at Portland High School... earned the Robert Rice Memorial Award.
Personal: majoring in medical biology with a minor in sociology... member of UNE Unified and Make It Happen... has served as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital and Community Dental... his grandmother is Franseska Achiro.
