Personal: her parents are Diane and John Steeves... majoring in medical biology... a Dean's List student, member of the CCC Academic All-Conference Team, and inductee into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society... member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad... her mother played basketball at the University of Maine-Machias... serves as President of UNE's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Prior to UNE: eight varsity letters between field hockey and softball at Skowhegan High School (Maine)... senior captain and all-state as a senior in field hockey, helping the team to a third state championship... part of two regional championship squads in softball, and twice a captain.
